Team Rattlesnake won the main prize at the EUDIS Defence Hackathon 2026 held last weekend at Krakow Technology Park.

For us, this recognition is especially meaningful because Rattlesnake is still at an early stage of development. Despite that, we were able to demonstrate a complete operational chain: drone detection, target tracking, and firing a burst of projectiles. Showing such an end-to-end capability at this stage of the project was an important milestone for our team and a strong validation of the direction we are taking.

In addition to the main award, we were also honored to receive the participants’ award, won through a popular vote by the other teams taking part in the hackathon. This distinction means a great deal to us, as it comes from people who understand both the technical difficulty and the intensity of building under hackathon conditions.

The past weekend was an important step forward for Rattlesnake, and we are grateful for the opportunity to present our work in such a strong environment of innovators, engineers, and defence-focused teams.
